The Genesis and Exodus

If you are friends with me IRL (in real life), on Facebook, or on Twitter, you might have picked up some hints that we are moving. Yep! You’re right. We are! It is busy, busy, busy around here, too! (Needless to say, if I’m absent for an abnormal amount of time, you know why. :) )

Please note these pictures aren’t a reflection of our ability to keep a house. This is just what it looks like while we are moving. It’s all real. Not editing.

The Exodus - living room

The living room during the packing, painting, and Boybarian-entertaining.

The Exodus - kitchen

Our kitchen with sisters making supper and some sorting/organizing/packing going on over there in the right hand corner.

The Exodus - laundry room

Our laundry room. ‘Nuff said.

The Exodus - bedroom 1

Wow, Batman! You can actually see the floor in there!

That is just some of the house. When I get a chance to slip out of the eat, sleep, paint, pack routine, I’ll post the rest.

Does any of that look familiar?

Mason Jars

I have a crush on Mason jars. Who wouldn’t, though? Everyone has at least a few Mason jars laying around. (Do you have any of the aqua blue ones? Those are my favorite.)

If you are Mason jar challenged, here are some things you use them for.

  1. vases – The large ones hold twigs and flowers quite nicely.
  2. containers – Use them for sugars, flour, oatmeal and the like on your kitchen counter! You can also store leftovers in them.
  3. treasure holders – The smaller ones work nicely for “treasures” that your children bring you. :) They would also work for any little odds and ends.
  4. canning
  5. pencil/pen holder
  6. candle holders

Remember, safety first. I don’t want anyone getting hurt.
