When God Speaks

I love when God speaks.

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I’ve had Adamsyndrome lately (aka: lonely). I was desiring someone to complete my life. I know that will come in time, but I believe God brought that sense of loneliness on my for a reason: to show me how much He loves me.

I was reading Grace is for Sinners by Serena Woods the other day and the particular chapter I was reading just talked about how no amount of romantic love can fill for the way God loves us. That really spoke to me.

This morning I just happened to wake before everyone else. I headed downstairs, grabbed my laptop, and was checking Facebook when I just got the notion to go to YouTube. There sat, on my YouTube homepage, You Are Loved by Rebecca St. James. With each hit of the play button, I felt more loved than I can even describe. It plays up Serena Woods’ words about no romantic love filling in for the love God has for us.

As women, we want to feel loved. If you are a woman,  you probably aren’t deaf to that fact. Often times, as women, I think we tend to dance with man’s love instead of God’s love. We have danced with man’s love for so long, I believe God is stepping in to dance with us- His Bride.

What has God spoken to you?

I must say…I am drawn to your posts. You are way ahead of your time. I wish I had the insight and wisdom you have at your age. God has truly blessed you with this (AND your photography skills! ;-) ). I look forward to reading YOUR book someday….because I am finding myself inspired by your words.

    • Thank you for your compliments, but really, those are God’s words. They are for you and for me. I just typed them onto the screen, but God spoke them into my heart- into being. Someday, I hope I can write a book full of the things God has whispered into my heart.

    Thanks so much Hannah!
I have decided that God is leading us not to date, but to wait for God’s chosen one for use; however, that doesn’t mean I’m always content with my decision. I don’t have many friends at church, and that sometimes adds to my lonliness. I just wanted to thank you for this post; I’ve never really thought of God’s love like that.
    Thanks!

  5. Just inspiring. You are awesome Hannah! Be on the lookout for my post tomorrow. I linked to your post on My Frontier.

((Hugs to you my sweet friend))

I love you and your family beyond words!!

You are an encouragement to me!

What a blessing to see and realize that at this point in your life. Being loved and cherished is every woman’s dream… and it is more easily fulfilled when we give all of ourselves to God. Our day, our hearts, our minds, our dreams. It took a certain amount of stumbling before I truly handed it all over to the Lord.
